Peranakan Inspired Necklace

sorry, this item is no longer available

Here’s a one of the necklaces I made recently; I will post a new one each day so they each have their own space to shine!  The colours for this particular necklace were inspired by Peranakan Porcelain.  If you’re not sure what Peranakan means, click here.  I am hoping to create a collection with the traditional colours used by them later in the year. Here’s an example of the design inspiration:

Collection of Peranakan Porcelain

The necklace looks good on both a white and matching background, picking up the coral tones.

White shows off the delicate colours perfectly

and matches well with dusky coral…

The necklace is finished off with an extra large decorative jump ring for easy fastening and looks attractive from the back too!

Love the connection between the porcelain and the necklace. I sometimes display a piece of pottery or special plate and drape a necklace or a piece of jewellery next to it.

Thanks very much! Never thought of that. Checked out your blogshop, looks very neat, great photos and love the crown earrings! Thanks for stopping by. Happy National Day! Cath.

I would love to hear your thoughts...
