An Enchanted Story: artist Anna Berezovskaya

A few weeks ago my husband and I took our daughter (who is studying Art IGCSE) to The Red Sea Art Gallery to see Russian artist Anna Berezovskaya’s exhibition, An Enchanted Story.  Her paintings are quirky, whimsical, fantastical… you get the picture (no pun intended). They are the sort of painting you have to stand right next to, to see all the details and fun things added to the canvas (ie, snails, birds, pigs, peeking out from behind).  Great fun!  The artist is only 26 years old.

Click each painting to view them in full, but these are my photos of a handful of the paintings, some of which only capture part of the painting, as they were so large.   I think the exhibition is finishing this weekend, so if you are around Dempsey, definitely pop in (it’s free).   I love the colours in ‘Rainy Day’.  Which is your favourite?
